Chelsea beat Leeds United 3-2 in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Enzo Fernandez was one of the stars in that game.

The Argentine midfielder started the match as the captain and led from the front, with his passing and creativity.

It was Enzo who laid a beautiful assist for Conor Gallagher’s late-winning goal to cap off a great display.

Chelsea have been drawn to face another Championship side, Leicester City, in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

However, Enzo Fernandez will miss the FA Cup quarter-final. Why so?

Enzo Fernandez was booked during the game against Leeds, and has picked up two yellow cards in the FA Cup this season.

The rules state that any player that gets double bookings in a single FA Cup campaign will be suspended for the next game.

This means Enzo will be suspended for the upcoming FA Cup quarter-final clash against Leicester City.

Enzo has been a key player for Mauricio Pochettino, but the Blues boss will have to come up with an alternative against Leicester City.

Conor Gallagher, meanwhile, appreciated Enzo Fernandez for his assist.

Conor Gallagher said: “It’s nice. I obviously like to score goals and I struggled to do that before the goals started to come, so hopefully I can continue to get more.

“It was a great pass from Enzo and a good goal,” he added on the midfielder’s contribution.

“We were really happy to get one right at the end because obviously it meant we didn’t have to go into extra time, and I think we were looking a bit tired.”
