Chelsea are ready for the 2023-24 Carabao Cup final with Liverpool, and will do everything they can to win it, according to Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues have a shot at winning their first trophy in more than a year when they take on Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday evening, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are the most decorated club in the history of the competition, and Pochettino knows Chelsea will have to be at their best to stand a chance against them, even if the Reds are currently suffering an injury crisis.
The match also presents the Argentine with an opportunity to win his first trophy as a coach in England.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the Chelsea boss stated: “It means a lot for us, the coaching staff to arrive in the final and to challenge a team like Liverpool and win our first title here.
“It’s a dream for us, the coaching staff. We have 90 minutes to achieve that and we are going to fight. The team is ready. It’s an amazing chance for us.”
