Up to ten Liverpool players will miss this Carabao Cup final clash against Chelsea.

Star players like Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai are all absent due to injury.

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has admitted it’ll be good for Chelsea to play Liverpool at this time, and is backing the game to go into penalties.

Shearer said: “I think it could be a really tight affair and go the full distance, maybe even penalties again.

“We’re hearing about a lot of injuries with Liverpool so I suppose from a Chelsea point of view, if that is the case with the injuries they have, it might be a good time to play Liverpool.

“Having said that, they have still got some good players to come in and fill in.”
