Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Chelsea won’t be easy to play against when his side locks horns with the Blues in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley this Sunday.
Chelsea were thrashed 4-1 by Liverpool about two weeks ago, just days before Wolves also ran out 4-2 winners in a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have however failed to lose a game since then, winning two and drawing one, including an impressive 3-1 victory against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Liverpool have also continued to fly high in the Premier League, despite having up to 10 of their first-team players down with injury.
The Reds came from behind to beat Luton Town 4-1 on Wednesday night, even though Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Trent Alexander-Arnold were all missing from their team, but despite the win, Klopp insists Chelsea will be a tough nut to crack.
“Will we be big favourites [in the final]? Definitely not,” Jurgen Klopp said after his side’s win against Luton.
“Since we played them [Chelsea] they have improved a lot and it will be tricky. This was exceptional tonight.”
On his key players potentially missing the game against the Blues, Klopp added: “We don’t know nothing.
“We have to see, but I said it before the game as long as we have 11 players we will go for it.”
This promises to be an exciting Carabao Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool.
