Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing defender Levi Colwill from Chelsea, according to journalist, Ben Jacobs (via Daily Briefing).
The French club are looking to focus on youth and build for the future, following announcement that Kylian Mbappe will be leaving them at the end of the current season.
Colwill is regarded as one of the brightest defenders in Europe as of now, and the 20-year-old had been a mainstay in Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, despite playing more as a left-back.
Jacobs also claims that Chelsea’s stance on selling the Englishman is clear – he’s untouchable, as he’s expected to play a huge role in the club’s rebuild. The player also doesn’t want to leave his boyhood club for now, at least.
Liverpool also continue to keep tabs on Colwill, who they tried to sign last summer, but had their attempt rebuffed by Chelsea, per the journalist.
The 20-year-old defender is contracted to Chelsea until 2029, but even then, the Blues also have an option to extend for one more year, which means he could be at Stamford Bridge for the next six years.
