Axel Disasi was rock solid in defence as Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The Frenchman was named man of the match, and for many, it was his best performance in a Chelsea shirt.

However, former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood, has labelled Disasi as one of Chelsea’s worst players.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Tim Sherwood claimed that Axel Disasi is one of Chelsea’s worst players, despite the fact he thought he was named Man of the Match on Saturday.

“This is what you expect, a bit of quality and a bit of threat. This is Chelsea we’re talking about. That second half they just defended their box, Disasi was their best player and I think he is probably one of their worst players,” Sherwood said.

Meanwhile, Disasi has claimed he felt hurt Chelsea didn’t get the victory at the Etihad, following Rodri’s late equaliser.

He said: “To be honest, I’m hurting. But at the same time, I’m proud of the performance of the team.

“We played very, very well all together. We showed we can struggle together, stick together, and fight for each other. In the end, they scored a goal and it’s a bad feeling, so I’m a bit frustrated.

“But I want to keep the momentum of the team. We played great and we showed we have grown [as a team]. We showed that we can play, we showed a good face, [we] just now have to keep this level.”
