Former Liverpool player, Don Hutchinson has claimed that Axel Disasi still has some improving to do, despite the hype he’s currently receiving, following his brilliant performance in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City last weekend.
Disasi had arguably his best outing since joining Chelsea from AS Monaco last summer in the enthralling draw at the Etihad stadium, making 16 clearances in total.
The Frenchman was also deservedly named ‘Man of the Match’ for his efforts against the reigning champions, but Hutchinson thinks he still has ‘quite a few flaws’ in his game, especially as it concerns his positioning.
“I think Axel Disasi has quite a few flaws in his game,” Hutchinson told ESPN FC while discussing the Chelsea centre back. “He had a great game, everything was hitting him, body on the line, he looked great.
“But the bigger picture is he needs a lot of work on his game in terms of where he is on the pitch.”
