Former Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has become the Europa League’s all-time top goalscorer, equalling the record set by Radamel Falcao.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who left Chelsea last summer after just one season at the club, equalled the Europa League record after scoring in Marseille’s 2-2 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday evening.
The goal against Shakhtar Donetsk means Aubameyang has now scored 30 goals in the Europa League, equalling the record previously held by Falcao, another former Chelsea striker.
Aubameyang achieved this feat across 54 appearances, scoring for Borussia Dortmund (8), Arsenal (14), Barcelona (2), and Marseille (6).
Aubameyang has scored 15 goals in 31 games so far in his maiden season for Ligue 1 side Marseille.
After joining Chelsea from Barcelona, Aubameyang scored just three goals in 21 games for the Blues.
