Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he’s happy with Nicolas Jackson’s form and attitude, as Chelsea go into their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Saturday.
The Argentine however admits he’s concerned about the striker’s knack for picking up yellow cards, as Nicolas Jackson has a habit of picking up bookings.
He said: “I think it is bad, but it is good. He showed that he cared about the team, the club, the teammates.
“And he expressed his happiness and did not think he was going to be booked. Now he is only one [booking] away for two games [suspension]. It is part of this amazing and exciting history that we are living [laughs].
“A 30-year-old player with experience and what happened with him, he’s young. He wants to share with the fans. The most important thing is I prefer than him on the bench sad that he didn’t score. He wanted to share with the fans and his teammates, the happiness and start to appeal with the fans and the players that makes us very, very happy.
“That is exactly what we need. I think we were talking after Wolverhampton that we need the help and I think it was fantastic help. We won the game and it was because of the help from the fans.
“They were fantastic with us, sending the energy and that is why he wanted to go and share and say that he is also part [of the group]. We will suffer with another yellow card that is a two-game ban, no?”
Nicolas Jackson has previously suffered suspension for picking up five yellow cards.
