Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is back and available for selection, ahead of this weekend’s visit to Etihad Stadium.
Sanchez has not featured for the Blues since December, when he was forced off due to injury in the game against Everton.
Sanchez hasn’t been missed at all, as Djordje Petrovic has done well in his stead.
Speaking ahead of the game, Pochettino said: “Robert is available too, which is good news. Always it’s good to recover a player that was playing a lot.
“For him to be available again is a good thing for the team.
“We will see if he plays tomorrow. It’s very good to have him back and you never know in football what can happen.
“It’s better to have all the players available as soon as possible and be ready to play if we decide to choose them.”
With Robert Sanchez back to fitness, it’s yet to be seen if Pochettino will continue with Sanchez as number or stick with Petrovic who has impressed in Sanchez absence.
