Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has said that he ‘feels alright’ ahead of Man City’s weekend Premier clash against Chelsea.

The Belgian midfielder has only featured in five top-flight games for City this season after a long spell out with an hamstring injury.

The 32-year-old got 90 minutes under his belt for just the second time this term in their Tuesday night’s 3-1 victory at FC Copenhagen in the Champions League, producing a goal and two assists.

Speaking after the match, De Bruyne told TNT Sports: “It’s been a long five or six months but I’m just happy to be back, helping the team win games and be at my best.

“I feel alright. Obviously I still need a couple more games and minutes. I’ve not played 90 minutes for almost a year [apart from against Brentford last week].

“But I’m getting there, I’m feeling good and the level is good enough.”

Mauricio Pochettino must be ready to face the powerhouse of De Bruyne and Erling Haaland this weekend. De Bruyne has always caused problems against Chelsea, and Pochettino must make sure his midfield is in good shape to combat the Belgian.
