Former Blue, William Gallas has claimed that Chelsea legend, Eden Hazard was lazy, and that is the reason the Belgian couldn’t reach his full potential as a footballer.

Gallas made the claim while speaking to Championnat, as he drew a comparison between the ex-Real Madrid winger and former Arsenal star, Andrey Asharvin.

He said: “I can compare Arshavin with Eden Hazard.

“They are similar players with great talent. Arshavin had very great talent, but were a little lazy. In England much more was expected of him. This applies to training and games.”

Hazard stopped playing professional football last October at the age of 32. As for Asharvin, the Russian former footballer, played for Arsenal, but couldn’t replicate his first season success at the Emirates, and eventually had to leave them after four years.
