Cole Palmer has expressed delight in Chelsea’s latest Premier League success, which seems to have boosted the team’s morale.
The Blues picked up a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Palmer was influential in helping Chelsea get the result after setting up Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez for two of their goals.
The Blues are now on a two-match winning streak, and Palmer believes it’s good for the team’s confidence, as morale has been lifted.
“It was an important win after the recent results and performances, so to go there at a tough ground and get the three points was good, I think it will be a big boost for us,” said Palmer to the official club website.
“The intensity in the first half was a bit slow, a bit sluggish. We went in at half-time and had a little chat, then when we came back out we changed, we went up a gear.
“The gaffer said it was all good him telling us about tactics and stuff, but it’s down to us to show some intensity, play forward, be brave, and that’s what we did.
“At half-time we just had a bit of an intensity switch, went up a gear and thankfully we got three points. It was a big win first at Villa and then to come here and win again is good for the team and our momentum.”
