Mauricio Pochettino has reacted to rumours he was on the verge of getting the sack as Chelsea boss, following his side’s Premier League defeats to Liverpool and Wolves.

The Blues returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Monday night, with a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Pochettino had also led his side to the FA Cup fifth round with a 3-1 away win against Aston Villa last Wednesday.

When asked to share his thoughts on Chelsea’s display against Palace, the Argentine coach told beIN Sports in a post-match interview: “We started really flat. It was a really tough first 45 minutes.

“It was really tough to break down the low block. The second half we started really well. Fully deserved the victory in the end. We keep pushing. Very pleased.”

Asked about reports he was at risk of losing his job after Chelsea’s last two league losses, Pochettino replied: “I don’t care about the rumours. I don’t care about the tension. I don’t care about the pressure. I don’t care about the stresses. We know really well the reality and we are going to keep working!”
