Injury setback! Chelsea to face Crystal Palace without key player

Chelsea will have to be without one of their key players when they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday night.

This is because Benoit Badiashile has suffered an injury, and will not be able to participate in the game.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Frenchman has sustained a groin injury, and will not be available for another month.

This also effectively rules out the defender from the Carabao Cup final with Liverpool on February 25.

Badiashile picked up the injury during last Wednesday’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Aston Villa, and couldn’t finish the game.

In Badiashile’s absence though, Levi Colwill is believed to be available again after missing four matches, and should provide the necessary cover for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
