Chelsea will play their 24th Premier League game of the season on Monday night.
It will be the final game of the Match weekend, and the Blues will be travelling across London to face neighbours and local rivals, Crystal Palace.
Many fans will be curious to know what the outcome of the match will be, as well as how Chelsea will perform, after their fantastic display away to Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round last Wednesday.
Chelsea won that match 3-1, and played some really good football while at it. But some may argue that the Blues have done better in cup competitions this season than in the league, since they’re currently outside the top half of the league table, having won just nine matches since the start of the campaign. In fact, Mauricio Pochettino’s men lost their last two league games, and conceded eight goals in both.
If Chelsea are however, able to beat Palace tonight, they will make it 13 straight wins against the Eagles since the start of the Premier League era. The Blues haven’t been able to manage this feat against any other side in the division.
The last time Chelsea beat Palace was back in December when they relied on goals from Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke to win it 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Palace also had Michael Olise with them on the occasion, but the France winger will not be able to play tonight after picking up a recent injury.
