Are Chelsea back to form? Pundit gives prediction ahead of Palace vs Chelsea game

Chris Sutton has predicted a narrow win for Chelsea when they meet Crystal Palace away from home on Monday.

The Blues will travel across London to face Roy Hodgson’s men at Selhurst Park in what will be their 24th league game of the season.

Despite claiming an emphatic 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday, Chelsea’s Premier League form remains unpredictable, and Sutton is of the thought they will return to Stamford Bridge with maximum points on Monday.

The pundit wrote for BBC Sport: “Well, Chelsea are back on form after their FA Cup win over Villa – so this is a nailed-on Crystal Palace win. Being serious, though, I am worried about Palace, especially with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze’s ongoing injury issues, and I am making this prediction on the basis they will both be missing.”

He added: “Although Chelsea remain a very odd side and we don’t know what kind of performance we will get from them, I can see them keeping a clean sheet and they have got enough firepower to nick a goal from somewhere.”

Final prediction: Crystal Palace 0 vs 1 Chelsea.
