Manchester United legend, Roy Keane was full of praise for Chelsea, following their dominant 3-1 win over Aston Villa during the FA Cup fourth round replay on Wednesday night.
The Blues were under immense pressure before the game, having lost back to back Premier League games in their last two outings.
However, it was the West Londoners that ran the show at Villa Park, with Conor Gallagher, Nicolas Jackson, and Enzo Fernandez all finding the target to earn them the important win.
Villa later pulled one goal back through Moussa Diaby very late in the game, but Chelsea held on to secure their lead, and book a place in the fifth round of the tournament, where they’ll now play Championship side, Leeds United.
Reacting to the win after the game, former Manchester United player, Keane told ITV Sport: “Obviously it was a brilliant night for Chelsea. They were strong, they were aggressive, showed quality. Everything you want from a team away from home.
“There were three excellent goals and there are question marks now about Villa.
“There’s no need to panic but they’ve got another tough game at the weekend and they never turned up tonight.
“Chelsea grew in confidence with the game and obviously when you score goals it gives them that.
“But it’s amazing… this game drives you mad. We were praising Villa, we were saying crisis at Chelsea and then they turn up and play like that.”
