Jose Mourinho was sacked as Roma manager just last month.

Roma sat ninth in Serie A at the time of Jose’s dismissal, but the players have since rallied around Mourinho’s successor, former captain Daniele de Rossi, with three wins from three games.

Mourinho was very much loved by the Roma fans, as he guided them to win the Europa Conference League in 2022, and reached the final of the Europa League last year.

According to Il Messaggero, Mourinho returned a ring he had been gifted by his players after they won the Europa Conference League in 2022.

He left it in the locker of captain Lorenzo Pellegrini before departing.

Mourinho felt betrayed by his players, who he felt contributed to him losing his job.

Mourinho also left a note with a brutal message which reads: “When you are men, give it back to me.”

Mourinho is now being linked with a return to Chelsea for the third time, as Mauricio Pochettino’s job is rumoured to be unsafe.
