Wesley Fofana is expected back in action for Chelsea before the end of the 2023-24 season, according to journalist, Simon Phillips.
Fofana has not kicked a ball for the Blues all season as he continues to recover from a knee injury he sustained ahead of the ongoing campaign.
The Frenchman has already undergone surgery, and is now in the final stages of his rehabilitation, per reports.
Fofana was initially expected back around June/July, but Phillips says the centre back has made progress in his recovery, and should be back for the final games of the season.
This would obviously be great for Chelsea if it happened, seeing as the team has struggled defensively in his absence.
Fofana joined Chelsea from Leicester City back in 2022, but his development has so far been hindered by injury problems.
