Moises Caicedo had what one could summarily describe as an abysmal outing for Chelsea during their meeting with Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
The Ecuador midfielder played alongside Enzo Fernandez at the heart of the Chelsea midfield, and was rewarded for his sharp play in the 19th minute when he set up Cole Palmer for the opening goal.
However, just moments after assisting Chelsea’s first goal, Caicedo was robbed of possession in midfield, as wolves got an equaliser. The visitors also pressured the 22-year-old into making a few more errors, before he was subbed off in the second half by Mauricio Pochettino.
According to Football.london, Caicedo wasn’t pleased with himself afterwards, and was seen smashing into his seat at the home bench.
To be fair to the former Brighton star, since he left the Seagulls for Chelsea, he has not quite been the £100m player every club seemed to want last summer. This has led to him being targeted for criticism by both fans and pundits on a regular basis.
It was also recently discovered that both Caicedo and Enzo deactivated their accounts on ‘X’, in a bid to avoid the constant trolling on the social media platform.
