Mudryk challenges Chelsea fan to a bet after embarrassing defeat to Wolves

Mykhailo Mudryk has challenged a Chelsea fan to a 1v1 football match after being taunted online.

Mykhailo Mudryk decided to get into something of a heated exchange with a Chelsea fan on social media, following the club’s 4-2 defeat to Wolves on Sunday.

Mudryk was benched for the clash at Stamford Bridge, and had to wait until later in the second half to come on for Raheem Sterling.

The Ukrainian was however no different from the rest of his teammates, and struggled to make an impact in the game before picking up a late assist for Thiago Silva’s goal.

After the match, a disgruntled Chelsea fan took to Instagram to message Mudryk, and urged the 23-year-old to work on his game, especially in 1v1 situations. This clearly didn’t go down well with the winger, who instead of ignoring the fan, engaged him in something of a war of words, and even offered to pay him £10,000 to come take him on. The fan, whose name is Fedorsneaks also later shared the conversation on the internet.

Mudryk has four goals and three assists from 25 games for Chelsea this season. The former Shakhtar Donetsk man has been criticised heavily for not doing well enough since joining Chelsea, so his reaction is perhaps a little understandable, but maybe it would have been best if he ignored the fan altogether.
