Former Liverpool man, Mark Lawrenson has given his prediction for Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton at Stamford Bridge.
The two sides played Liverpool and Manchester United, respectively, with Chelsea getting thrashed 4-1 at Anfield, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men were given a taste of what could still come in the February 25 Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Wolves also narrowly tasted defeat against Manchester United, losing 4-3, as they conceded a late goal after coming from two goals down to draw 3-3.
Despite putting a better fight than their hosts for Sunday’s game, Lawrenson doesn’t think Wolves will have enough to stop Chelsea from returning to winning ways at Stamford Bridge.
The pundit wrote for Paddy Power: “I think Chelsea might get a reaction here. They can’t be as bad again as they were against Liverpool on Wednesday.
“I think they’ll probably change formation as well. I’ll go for Chelsea to win, although that’s not with any great conviction. I’m not sure Wolves will score at Chelsea.”
Lawrenson’s final prediction: Chelsea 2 vs 0 Wolves.
