Fabrizio Romano has revealed Ange Postecoglou’s admiration of a Chelsea player.

Gallagher, one of Chelsea’s best player so far this season, has been linked with a possible transfer away from Stamford Bridge since last December, with Tottenham believed to be his biggest admirers.

Transfer expert Romano, acknowledges the respect and admiration from Chelsea’s London rivals for the Chelsea star, but the Italian journalist went ahead to squash all rumours of a likely sale.

“No movement around Conor Gallagher so far, not just today but same during the entire January window,” the journalist posted on ‘X’ on Thursday.

“Tottenham appreciate him, Postecoglou likes him a lot but Tottenham never opened talks with Chelsea this winter. Gallagher, staying at Chelsea with contract due to expire in 2025.”

Gallagher indeed ended up not being sold by the club.

Gallagher was involved in Chelsea’s 4-1 Premier League defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday night, and was caught in a controversial situation where he was fouled by Virgil van Dijk in the opposition box, but the referee and VAR refused to award a penalty to the Blues.
