Mauricio Pochettino has been accused of ruining the legacy of Thiago Silva at Chelsea, with his poor game management abilities.
Chelsea were on the receiving end of a 4-1 bashing from Liverpool on Wednesday, as the Blues slipped down to 10th on the Premier League standings.
Pochettino, in a post-match interview, lamented his players’ lack of character and personality, and claimed that Liverpool were the deserving winners of the tie.
However, talkSPORT host, Adrian Durham has now insisted that the Argentine should take part in the blame instead of shifting it to his players.
The journalist also accused Pochettino of ruining the ending part of the glittering career that Thiago Silva has built for himself over the years.
He said on talkSPORT: “Thiago Silva is the big one for me. Pochettino and this Chelsea side are turning his end of career into a complete nightmare, it’s ruining his legacy. I think questions now need to be asked of Pochettino and how he’s managing those players.”
Silva and his centre back partner, Benoit Badiashile struggled to cope with the pace and intensity of Liverpool’s attackers during the game at Anfield, and got caught out on multiple occasions. It was also not the first time this season that the 39-year-old has had a bad game, and some believe he should retire at the end of the season.
