Tottenham great, Jamie O’Hara has expressed disappointment with Mauricio Pochettino and the current crop of players that are at Chelsea.
The former midfielder says he expected to see a lot more from them this season, but that hasn’t been the case.
O’Hara’s assessment of the Blues comes just hours after Pochettino led them to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
What’s even more annoying for many is that Chelsea didn’t even try to put on a fight away at the Anfield club, and just allowed themselves to be overrun.
During an appearance on Sky Sports News, O’Hara said he couldn’t recognise Chelsea as a club anymore, and even went on to list some ex-Chelsea players in his rant.
He said: “It’s been an absolute disgrace this season Chelsea football club. 10th in the table. Give me John Terry, give me Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, what I’m watching now from this Chelsea team, it’s not the Chelsea I know. I know it’s a new era but this is not the team I was expecting from Pochettino.”
Chelsea will play another league game this Sunday, and this time it will be against Wolves, who beat them 2-1 on Christmas Eve. And Pochettino knows he must win that game if he has any plans of winning the hearts and trust of Chelsea fans.
