Gabby Agbonlahor has branded Benoit Badiashile’s performance against Liverpool on Wednesday, a ‘dreadful’ one – and possibly the worst performance he’s seen from a Premier League defender in the last two seasons.

Badiashile, who joined the Blues from French side, AS Monaco last January, was part of a two-man central defence for Chelsea in the game at Anfield.

However, it ended up being a night to forget for the 22-year-old, as Chelsea lost 4-1 to a dominant Liverpool side, who scored through Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz.

Badiashile seemed out-of-sorts for most of the game, and got caught out of position on more than one occasion.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Thursday morning, former Aston Villa striker, Agbonlahor said he was disappointed in what he saw from the Chelsea centre back.

He said: “Chelsea look like they don’t care if they lose. That was what I got from last night. They were that bad that they didn’t look like they cared about losing.

“Badiashile, the centre-half, he probably had the worst centre-half performance I’ve seen in the Premier League in the last two seasons. He was dreadful.”
