TalkSPORT presenter, Adrian Durham has slammed Mauricio Pochettino for making a mess of Chelsea since he took over as permanent manager last summer.

The Blues are now 10th on the Premier League table after 22 games, which culminated in a 4-1 beating against Liverpool at Anfield in midweek.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Thursday morning, Durham said of Chelsea and Pochettino: “22 games in, I think it’s time to shine a light on Mauricio Pochettino.

“There is a lot of blaming of Todd Boehly and the board, however, on the pitch last night they were hopeless. No in-game management from Pochettino. They are a shambles.

“Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t know his best 11, he’s wasting Cole Palmer’s talent, he’s turning Raheem Sterling into a bang average player. His teams can’t defend, they can’t play away from home. His midfield changes game after game.

“He doesn’t have a clue about that midfield. Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, £200million worth of midfielders, were totally ineffective. He’s ruining Thiago Silva’s legacy. Questions now need to be asked of Pochettino and his management.

“When your best player this season has been Conor Gallagher, mainly because he runs around a lot, you know it’s been a pretty terrible season.”
