The father of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has claimed the World Cup winner is frustrated with the club’s lack of success.
Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 for a then British record fee of €121million but his arrival has failed to halt Chelsea’s struggles on the pitch.
Fernandez’s performances have suffered as a result of Chelsea’s mediocrity and the midfielder is unhappy with the current situation at the club.
“He feels a bit frustrated [at Chelsea] because he was always a winner, so going through these moments is not easy,” Don Raúl Fernández told ESTO.
“I tell him to stay calm, don’t read social media, keep training and things will get better. So much so that they are going to play in the final of one of the cups in England against Liverpool. Chelsea are in a moment of transition, training with young players, but I tell them to be patient, things will get better.
“It’s a young team that needs to adapt. You are always supporting him from a distance, telling him these things, thinking positively. I tell him that the team is going to make it. One more year and he’ll be fine, they’ll be better.”
A very supportive, encouraging and fatherly advise.
God bless you Dad Enz.
Blues all the way
If he truly feels so, then he is a weakling. A fighter FIGHTS his way to success, to victory..
Afterall, he is a major part of the problem, with his regular poor display in matches. He was just overhyped from the get-go… ????????????????????
