Nicolas Jackson is set to return to back to the club, following Senegal’s exit from the AFCON.
Senegal were sent packing from the Round of 16 game, after losing to Ivory Coast on penalties.
Senegal led from early in the first-half, but conceded a late penalty in the second-half to take the game into extra time.
All of the first five penalty takers except Moussa Niakhate for Senegal scored their penalties with the shootout ending 5-4 in the Ivorians’ favour.
Jackson didn’t start any of the games in Senegal’s AFCON campaign but got some minutes off the bench.
Mauricio Pochettino will be glad to have Jackson back in the team, as he has often had to play Cole Palmer in the striking role, with Armando Broja also struggling for form.
