Jurgen Klopp’s announcement that he’d be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, has come as a shock to many.
The German has been very successful at Anfield, and has formed a strong bond with the Anfield faithful.
A day after his announcement, Liverpool fans showed Klopp their support, as the Reds went on to beat Norwich City 5-2 in an FA Cup tie.
Klopp admits it was an emotional day for him and the club, but also urged that they should be ready to face a resurgent Chelsea side on Wednesday night, as he admits Chelsea are in good form at the moment.
“I get it, it’s very emotional,” Klopp said.
“I just have to make sure that I don’t get on that side of it.
“I said they don’t have to do it because I know our relationship already. In the games, we need to be warriors and not celebrate the old man on the sidelines.
“First match after the news and we can get used to it. Chelsea are in a good moment, it will be tough but let’s make sure we are ready for that.”
