With just two days remaining before the January transfer window closes, a lot of movement is expected to happen between clubs in terms of player sales and purchases.
Chelsea are one of those clubs, who could be involved in some transfer business despite having had a relatively quiet time so far in the window.
Conor Gallagher is believed to be available for sale by the Blues, with Premier League rivals, Tottenham said to hold a major interest in the 23-year-old midfielder.
It however, remains to be seen whether the player will actually swap clubs before January 31, judging by a recent update on his potential transfer by journalist, Alasdair Gold.
“Right now, it’s looking unlikely,” Gold said on his YouTube channel. “Let’s be honest, 23-year-old – he’s captaining Chelsea in every game at the moment, he’s playing almost every minute in every game for Chelsea right now.
“He wants to stay, Pochettino wants him to stay at Chelsea and sees him as a key part of the future at Chelsea.
“But yet, there’s still this suggestion that because of the Financial Fair Play stuff, Chelsea would accept the right price for him.
“I would stress, that the right price sounds like it’s very high. It doesn’t sound like the kind of value deal that Spurs would probably normally go for, especially as the fact he’s only got 18 months left in his contract.”
