Lille striker, Jonathan David has admitted he’s happy with reports linking him with an interest from Chelsea and a number of other top clubs in Europe.
Telefoot journalist recently reported that the Blues are keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old.
Last season, David scored an impressive 24 goals in 37 Ligue One appearances for Lille, as they finished the campaign in fifth place.
Chelsea’s desire to sign a new striker has not been kept hidden at all, and it is believed that the Stamford Bridge outfit are considering many options, including David.
The Canada international was asked about the rumours that he could be heading to West London in the near future, and he told Telefoot: “When you’re young, these are the clubs you watch and think about. It’s flattering, I appreciate that.”
As at last summer, David was reportedly valued at £51m, but then, that figure may have dropped considerably, seeing as he’s only managed six goals in 19 league games this season.
