Chelsea signed up goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from MLS side New England Revolution last summer, for a fee of £14m.
The Serbian was down the pecking order at the time he was signed, but has now warmed his way into the hearts of the Chelsea faithful, with his performance in goal.
The 24-year-old has now kept four clean sheets in 10 Chelsea appearances for Chelsea, following the injury to Robert Sanchez.
The goalkeeper seems pleased with his progress, and can’t believe how far he has come.
He said: “I can’t believe I have played 10 games because it has gone quickly. I’m enjoying it and I’m just trying to implement what we do in training with the team to help us get a good result.”
Petrovic also appreciated the Blues supporters as Chelsea have made it 10 games unbeaten at the Bridge.
“We are having a good run at Stamford Bridge,” he added.
“The atmosphere and the support from the fans is really important for us. We feel that support and I think we play better.
“Their support is with us everywhere, as well as in away games. They follow us and support us.”
