Michael Carrick, the head coach of Middlesbrough, praised Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer for his outstanding performance in Chelsea’s 6-1 victory over Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup.

This victory enabled Chelsea to secure a spot in the final of the 2023-24 EFL Cup.

Carrick highlighted Palmer’s skills and potential, noting, “Cole Palmer is a nice lad and down-to-earth.

“You can see from playing against him the quality that he has got.

“It is not nice when you are on the other end of it but you can appreciate and respect how good he is. He will have a terrific career.”
