Chelsea no longer the richest club in London

Tottenham Hotspur has overtaken Chelsea FC to become London’s richest football club, according to the latest Deloitte Football Money League.

Spurs’ rise to the eighth richest club globally is primarily attributed to the revenue generated from their new stadium, bringing in £549.2 million last season.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s match-day income exceeds £105 million per season, and it has hosted various events, including music concerts, NFL, and rugby matches. Performers like Beyonce, Pink, Lady Gaga, and Guns N’ Roses have graced the stadium since its 2019 opening.

Chelsea is now ranked ninth with a revenue of £512.5 million, while Arsenal is in tenth place, earning £463.1 million. Arsenal’s income was impacted by their absence from the Champions League.

Real Madrid tops the list as the world’s richest club, generating a record £710 million in the 2022-23 season.
