Djordje Petrovic will be furious with his Chelsea teammates despite their 6-1 victory against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.

Chelsea stunned Boro ‘6-1 (6-2 aggregate) at Stamford Bridge to book a place in the final at Wembley next month.

It was a much-better performance by the Blues, who scored four first-half goals before adding two in the second period. And the scoreline would have been perfect if not for a late Boro goal by Morgan Rogers, who found the lower right corner of Petrovic’s post after some nifty leg work at the edge of the Chelsea 18-yard box.

Speaking after the game, Hasselbaink praised the way his former side went after the visitors from the blow of the first whistle, and pointed out the need for Chelsea to start keeping clean sheets again.

“Having my managers hat on, it is important to keep a clean sheet,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports.

“I bet you that the goalkeeper is going to be very, very angry he got a goal against him.

“But not a lot of games you are going to be 6-0 up. You might be 1-0 up, it has to become a habit that you keep clean sheets and that is why I ask that question.

“If it breeds through your team, clean sheets, clean sheets, you are going to be successful.”
