Chelsea may have beaten Middlesbrough 6-1 to reach the final of the Carabao Cup, but Mauricio Pochettino wasn’t entirely pleased with an event during the game.
Morgan Rogers grabbed a consolation for the visitors at Stamford Bridge, curling in an effort from the edge of the box past Djordje Petrovic, late in the game.
Rogers’ goal did leave Pochettino angry, as he was disappointed his team lost concentration.
“I was really upset,” he told Sky Sports. “I was really upset because we need to learn from that.
“We need to play seriously until the end. But it’s true and you know very well, but sometimes yes it looks like you won’t finish the game (well) so they come and make mistakes because you lose a little bit of focus.
“In this case for me, I am disappointed. We are disappointed because we conceded a goal and this is not good. Because we are a team that we need to use every single second to prove, we cannot miss this type of action.
“We are building… when we start to build with the space and the capacity that we have, we have to be more focused. Very disappointed Jimmy (Floyd Hasselbaink). It didn’t kill my happiness but I was a little bit disappointed to finish the game.”
