Robert Sanchez is nearing a return to the Chelsea squad after being away with an injury for a long time.

The Spanish goalkeeper picked up a knee injury as Chelsea were beaten 2-0 by Everton back in early December. He has since been on the sidelines for the last six weeks.

However, if the stopper’s recent post on Instagram is anything to go by, his return isn’t very far away anymore. Sanchez posted a photo of himself on the platform, along with the caption, ‘Nearly there!!’

Since his injury, Djordje Petrovic has deputed in goal for Sanchez, and has done very well, which makes it hard to say what the fate of the ex-Brighton man would be when he returns to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
