Chelsea have no reason to consider sacking Mauricio Pochettino.
This is according to former England and Chelsea star, Joe Cole, who thinks that the Argentine may be on to something at Stamford Bridge after six months in charge.
The Blues are in ninth place on the league table after 21 games this season.
And Cole has told the Daily Mail: “I think it’s a project isn’t it.
“Fans don’t like to hear that and I know everyone wants to be winning yesterday, but it’s a young squad.
“It needs time to breathe and time to grow and Pochettino is proven with that. I think he’s been fantastic since he’s come in the club and one of his jobs is to give this team a bit of patience in time to step up.
“It’s important that there’s patience. Chelsea are where Chelsea are at the moment.
“There’s no getting away from that and the way out of it is not a snap decision. The way out of it is careful, considerate transfers.
“Sticking with the manager. Understanding the process and moving forward.”
