Viktor Gyökeres has reacted to rumours revolving around his future at Sporting Lisbon.
The Swede striker has come up as a potential target for Chelsea, who are in desperate need of a prolific goalscorer.
Gyökeres has found the net an impressive 22 times in 25 matches this season, while picking up another 10 assists. This comes after he scored 21 times in the Championship last season before swapping Coventry City for Sporting in the summer.
Chelsea are eager to get the forward over to Stamford Bridge, and reports in Portugal earlier this week, claimed that they even lodged a £75m bid for him.
The bid is also said to have been rejected, with Sporting insisting that his £86m release clause must be met.
Gyökeres was recently asked about the rumoured interest from the Blues, and he insists he is ‘100%’ focused on his current employers at the moment.
“I don’t think anything about it,” he told Sport TV.
“I’m here and we have important games to play, I’m focused on that.
“There’s a lot of talk on social media and elsewhere, but I’m not focused on that I don’t think about anything else. I’m here right now. I’m 100% focused on this and the club.”
Aside from Gyökeres, Chelsea are also believed to be targeting Ivan Toney (Brentford), Victor Osimhen (Napoli), and Karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad).
