Chelsea have reportedly entered talks with Portuguese club, Sporting Lisbon to sign Ousmane Diomande.

This is according to Tribal Football, who also claim that the 20-year-old is currently commanding interest from many other top clubs in Europe.

The Blues are however hoping to beat the competition to the signature of the player.

The report adds that Trevoh Chalobah could be sold this January, which would make it necessary for Chelsea to sign a new centre-half before the end of the winter transfer window.

It however isn’t certain whether Sporting would want to lose one of their important players midway through the season, which would mean that Chelsea may have to wait until the summer to get their man.
