Willian lined up for Fulham on Saturday, as they played Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

However, it wasn’t a dream return to the Bridge for the Brazilian, who tasted a 1-0 defeat with Marco Silva’s side.

Fans of Chelsea in the stadium were still very warm towards Willian, who they applauded during the game, even though he was with the opposition. And the 35-year-old has now expressed his gratitude to them.

He posted to social media: “This day was special for me because I returned to Stamford Bridge, a place with which I have great memories.

“I would also like to thank the Chelsea fans, who have always treated me incredibly.”
