Cole Palmer was brilliant again, as Chelsea picked up an important win against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old provided his side with the only goal of the game, as Chelsea edged out Marco Silva’s men 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Palmer stepped up to convert a penalty in first-half added time after Raheem Sterling was brought down by Issa Diop.

The attacker led the line for Chelsea, and improved from his struggle against Middlesbrough on Tuesday, where he missed numerous opportunities to score.

Palmer is now relieved to have found the net this weekend.

“After the [Boro] game I was disappointed like anyone would be missing that many chances. You have those games and I’ve put it behind me and scored,” Palmer told TNT Sports at Stamford Bridge.

“I like to try and help the team every game with goals and assists. It’s my job going forward.

“Fulham are a good side and we knew it wasn’t going to be easy so to get the three points is good after the result the other night.”
