Mykhailo Mudryk has been named the ‘Player of the Round’ for the recently-concluded Carabao Cup quarter finals.
The Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the second half of the quarter final tie between Chelsea and Newcastle last month, and scored a poacher’s goal to equalise for the Blues. His goal sent the game to a penalty shootout, which his side ended up winning 4-2.
It’s a great feat to see a player make an impact for his side after coming in as a late sub, which makes this award a well-deserved one for Mudryk.
We are also hoping that this is only a sign of greater things to come for the 23-year-old, who should be in action for Chelsea when they take on Middlesbrough in the semi-finals of the tournament later on Tuesday.
we need to own that trophy ???? and I’m very happy to be Chelsea ???? fan from south Sudan ????????
