Chelsea midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu is set to be out of action for up to a month.

Ugochukwu joined the Blues from French club, Rennes last summer after impressing with the club in the previous season. The 19-year-old has participated in a handful of games for Mauricio Pochettino’s men before he picked up a hamstring issue that kept him away for a while.

Ugochukwu recovered from the problem before the end of 2023, but the midfielder got his hamstring injured again, as Chelsea lost to Wolves 2-1 on Christmas Eve. It is now being reported that the player could miss the next four to six weeks for Chelsea, as he recovers from the challenge.

Chelsea will certainly be missing the defensive midfielder while he’s absent, but we hope that he returns stronger, and the hamstring problem isn’t one that will keep interrupting his development as a young player.
