Djordje Petrovic has been in goal for Chelsea for just about a month, and the Serbian is already doing very well for himself.

The Chelsea shot-stopper was signed from New England Revolution last summer, but he never got to play for the first team until Robert Sanchez sustained an injury towards the end of last year.

Petrovic helped Chelsea secure a place in the Carabao Cup semi-final after saving a penalty and has been a regular presence in Mauricio Pochettino’s side ever since.

The 24-year-old has also pulled off other impressive saves, including one that spared Chelsea’s bushes during the 3-2 win at Luton last weekend. That stop has now earned him a place amongst other goalies for the Premier League ‘Save of the Month’ for December.

Petrovic is nominated along with five other goalkeepers, and the winner of the award will be announced next week.

It is a remarkable achievement for the Chelsea goalie, and we do hope he can pick up the award when the winner is announced.
