Manchester City legend, Micah Richards has spoken more of his admiration for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer.

Palmer has dazzled for the Blues since making a £42m switch from Manchester City over the summer.

The 21-year-old has scored an impressive eight league goals and picked up four assists in just 16 Premier League matches.

Palmer made his senior England debut in the last international break, and has now been tipped to travel to the 2024 European Championship later this year. In fact, Richards says he would personally pick the attacker if he could do so.

The former defender told the Rest Is Football podcast: “He (Palmer) has everything, the way he controls the ball, he looks up, he’s not afraid to get on the ball even when it’s not going right, he can press now as well, if I was picking the squad [for Euros] he has to go in.”

Palmer has hardly had a bad game for Chelsea since the start of the season. Even when the former City man isn’t scoring goals, he’s creating them or simply linking up well with his teammates to help with the transition of play.

Chelsea have signed many players in the last few transfer windows, but Palmer certainly stands tall above the rest.
