Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for Cole Palmer, following the 21-year-old’s display in Chelsea’s 3-2 win against Luton Town.
Palmer created a goal, and scored two himself to help Chelsea finish the year with an important win on the road.
To be fair, it was a very important win too, seeing as Chelsea had lost each of their previous four matches on the road.
During an interview after the game, Pochettino was asked to comment on Palmer’s performance against the Hatters, and the Argentine replied: “What can I say?
“It is obvious he is an important player for us, a decisive player. Then scoring goals like this, I am so pleased with him and the team.”
Palmer has now scored eight Premier League goals for Chelsea after joining over the summer, which automatically makes him the leading goalscorer at the club this season.
