Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has revealed what Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants from him on the pitch.

Madueke told Chelsea’s official website: “The manager is not so much on me about scoring goals, but being as connected with the team as possible and working hard.

“I try to make that my foundation to build on at the start of the game. I know that if I do that then my individual quality will shine through a lot of time. I’m chuffed with the goal for sure.”

Madueke also talked about relationship with Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer.

Madueke said: “I have played with Cole for ages – since Under-15s – so I know his game.

“He is a great player and great for players like me. He is always in between the lines and I know that as soon as he gets the ball on the half-turn, he has the composure to find me like he did for my goal. Long may his form continue.”
